Client Comments

From Bill Tyson, OBE, the Project Director
"Liz worked for me on an ERDF funded project (ITISS) to deliver passenger information on an international basis. This project was part of the North West Europe Programme. Communication was a key objective of the project; it complemented the technical work that was carried out. Liz led GMPTE’s input to the communication work and contributed significantly to the overall strategy for the ITISS project.

This required her to have an understanding of the technical work and translate this into understandable statements of the impacts on travellers, and building relationships with the media.  At the same time it involved working in harmony with colleagues from four other countries (France, Germany, the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland) and understanding their viewpoints, cultures and concerns.

Her expertise and skills in handling sensitive issues with the media are second to none and her creativity in developing communication strategies for a wide range of audiences is excellent.

"In this as in other areas of her work she combines initiative, flair, firmness when needed and sensitivity."
