GSTS Pathology
a joint venture between Serco and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

The Task 

A 3-months appointment (January-March 2010) to work on site with GSTS’ HR Director and Business Development Director, to complete the planning and begin effective implementation of a range of marketing communications initiatives

Key Deliverables and Outputs

  • Work as Communications lead for the Kings project team (GSTS was negotiating a partnership with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and had established a Transition team for this major project)
  • Project manage the design and development of essential literature to support business development activity (including contractor selection)
  • Project manage the selection of a PR Company best suited to support the short-medium term needs of GSTS Pathology
  • Facilitate and support the development of an effective internal communications activity and implementation plan
  • Project manage an appropriate GSTS ‘Anniversary’ event to take place in February 2010
  • Provide a coaching service for appropriate staff

Liz provided strategic and operational communications support to GSTS relating to various projects from a re-branding programme, major organisational change as well as providing coaching services to support the development of a communications function for the business which has numerous complex stakeholders.
